He died in 1985 and his wife found the manuscript in the attic and had it published. Stephen King writes a lot like him. Thanks for watching.

He IS Stephen King. This book ties in with the dark tower series.

Thanks I didn't know that. why does the book say he died in 1985 if he is Steven King. Not my kind of book, I got it at a yard sale with a bunch of other books so I have no clue.

It's a pen name. I don't understand why. Regardless, the book is very good. It's the sequal to Desperation.

Is this a hardback?
Btw, I believe King wanted to try his hand at books that were different from his normal type so he came up with this pseudonym. Maybe he wanted to see if people would genuinely like them or if people just grabbed anything that had Stephen King as the author. So he created an entire biography for Bachman and then killed him off when people found out it was really King. Using the name Bachman also allowed him to publish more books than the standard one book a year that was the practice of writers at the time.
