Vintage Lot of Nine / 9 MacDONALD / A&P Plaid Stamp Saver Books from the 1960's

These were acquired by my mother back when grocery stores rewarded customers with saving stamps that were placed in saver books and then redeemed for various retail type items. The MacDonald Plaid Stamps and Saver Books were produced by The E. F. MacDonald Stamp Co. out of Dayton, OH. The Plaid Stamps were given out by the A&P Grocery Stores.

The Saver Books are approx. 4 7/8" x 6 1/4"and there are 24 pages in each book that hold 50 individual stamps, 5 - 10'S or one 50. Eight of these books are complete and one is a little over half full.

The condition of the books range from pretty good to fairly good and one that is in poor shape. The pages have yellowed or tanned a bit due to aging but all the pages are intact and there are no rips or tears except for the one book in poor shape.

The books are dated: 3 from 1963, 3 from 1965, two from 1968 and one that is not dated but looks to be from before 1965
