In 1958, Eisenhower was President and the Cold War was real. The United Nations was 10 years old and held out hope for a peaceful world. Offered are two very old UN First Day Covers with Art Craft cachets including newly issued 4 cent regular postage stamp and rarer 4 cent UN Economic and Social Council special issue stamp FDCs. Questions & Comments

The United Nations continues to headquarter out of New York City and early UN stamps and first day covers continue to be highly collected by stamp collectors around the world. The UN also issues different stamps in Europe including FDC's. Because of limited area stamps are available (primarily in UN Building in New York) makes older ones especially highly collectible.
