They were in never opened boxes but I took them out for the photos and also I will not be shipping them in the original boxes as it just adds to the bulk/weight. The package says that expires November-2010 but I have used these products before and as long as you do not open the package (and expose them to air), they can last longer than the expiration date.But I am no MD, and if you are concerned, please consult a health care professional.

Tear open pouch when ready to use. It may take up to 30 minutes for ThermaCare to reach its therapeutic temperature. Do not place the heat cells on the palm of the hand. Place on pain area on back of hand with thumb through slit and darker discs toward skin. Wrap straps under palm of hand and fasten. Over-tightening may cause discomfort. Adjust as needed. Be careful when applying to the hand and wrist – do not overlap the heat cells. For maximum effectiveness, we recommend you wear ThermaCare for 12 hours. Do not wear for more than 12 hours in any 24-hour period. Please keep in mind as you use this product that, due to differences in body temperature, not everyone senses heat on the hand/wrist the same.
