It's been my experience that a mysterious random item surfaces after buying the kids a bag (package lot) of mixed toys from a yard sale or thrift store. Stuff that has nothing to do with the majority of other items easily seen through the package prior to purchase. ie: single toy car ("boy toy") in with baby doll accessories ("girl toys").
