Giacomo Girolamo Casanova de Seingalt (April 2, 1725 – June 4, 1798) was a Venetian adventurer and author. His main book Histoire de ma vie (Story of My Life), part autobiography and part memoir, is regarded as one of the most authentic sources of the customs and norms of European social life during the 18th century.
He was so famous as a womanizer that his name remains synonymous with the art of seduction and he is sometimes called "the world's greatest lover".
This highly collectible book is in good condition for it's age. It is an ex-library book and has the card pocket intact. The page ends are rough hewn and show minor foxing.
There are no marks within the book with the exception of a number on the bottom of the table of contents page. There is a bookplate on the inside front cover. The cover show some signs of shelfwear with bumped corner ends and spine. The spine also shows some discoloration.
