rupees are Indonesian money. I know because my fathers wife is from Indonesia. Japanese currency is called Yen. this bill is strange to me

This looks fake. Rupees are from India, Japanese use Yen.

My bad, I looked it up, and these bills are circa 1945, and are known as Invasion currency. Also known as Southern Development Bank Notes.
