No problem. All my auctions are free shipping to USA and Canada. I don't offer free pick up yet, because I live with my elderly parents and they don't want anyone they don't know showing up.

I had planned to get some black bamboo when I lived up North. In Japanese culture it symbolizes resilience. (No I'm not Japanese, but it's a related fact lol) There was a place in a nearby town that grew tons of it. I was sad leaving my bamboo behind.... but I still don't have a yard. And in pots they really require a ton of water. In San Francisco I had tons of plants in my apartment and was growing a lot of bamboo. I will make a bamboo magnet since I have a bamboo stamp...

I think I will make more magnets. They're a fun thing to do while watching TV.

I'm making more too. I will list them when I get a bunch. My problem is that my home is very tiny and it makes a mess having my stuff around.
BTW that guy won't bother you any more.

Thanks for your help! I really thought of it as more amusing than bothersome. I am a Modern Artist by profession, so after reading many things on characters such as Dali, Picasso, Pollock, Warhol, etc., I just look on it all as an expression of individual creativity. I guess you can say I am in a business where eccentricity is the norm. (no wonder I garden ;-)

I am really into horticulture too... and people refer to me as an "artist", but it's embarrassing because I can't even paint or draw. I don't have the patience to learn. I just put a lot of things together in mosaics, collages, cards, and found object stuff. And now magnets! I just recently got the nerve to list some of my magnets. But I enjoy it a lot. Actually my humor is pretty eccentric, but that guy was (to me)annoying and slimy, and I think his theme was only going to escalate. You should list some of your work! I mean besides the magnets :)

My work is on my website: http://www.tarasbazaar.com
On the menu on the left of the homepage, go to CafePress Shops. My work is on many different items and I need to add new stuff. On my free stuff page I even have a link to Listia! You are an artist if you make stuff; simple as that. ;-)

i like to make magnets too. I was hesitant to list them on here, and my friends said to go for it, and now people are bidding! Yours are nice and I am a fan of VVG. Do you use magnet strips that cover the whole back of the magnet? I don't have good vision and I can't see in the picture. I really like these :)

I use the magnetic backing from old or misprinted business cards. If you carefully pull the plastic ad from the front, the adhesive remains on the magnetic part and you can re-use it. If you use one with a paper ad on the front, peel the top layer of paper off and use a picture framer's adhesive called ATG tape. it comes on a roll and you don't need the dispenser; it's more trouble than it's worth. Apply adhesive to the entire magnet in abutting strips, and apply your design or photo to this. Excess adhesive can be rubbed off from the edge. Finally, go around the white edge of the paper with a compatible color of marker to finish the edges. You can use a self-stick laminating film on the top for a higher gloss, or just to protect the image. I love Black Bamboo! Do you grow it?

It's you again! LOL! I love black bamboo also. I have some other bamboo in a huge pot that I am trying to find a home for. Where I live right now there is no yard, so I grow everything in pots. I almost bid on some black bamboo here on listia once! I guess she was going to send the rhizomes in the mail. I would love to have the space for black bamboo but no, I don't grow it.

I got a book on bamboo from the library once and it said there was a 6 foot dwarf Black Bamboo. I'd love to have that one!
