If you send it with an envelope, these will get crushed in the machine, you have to send these as a package.

ive sent other things like these in an envelope and everyone thats gotten something in an envelope said they were great

You'll really need to wrap them carefully, bubble wrap would be good, if sending in an envelope to ensure the mail processing machines do not crush and snap them. That happens often when sending earrings in an envelope.
