The listing, 11 POSTCARDS NASA Rockets ARMY & AIR FORCE Missiles VINTAGE 1950s / 60s has ended.
Up for bid are 11 postcards featuring rockets and missiles. All are in excellent unused condition, except two, which are in good to very good condition.
Probably the rarest one is the US Army Lacrosse Missile postcard (Ire Show). This missile was developed by Martin Marietta of Orlando, and the postcard is a 1959 issue.
Other views include: Atlas Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (postmarked 1959), Atlas (before launch), Jupiter C, Mercury-Redstone, US Army's Juno II, Apollo 4, Apollo V, Apollo / Saturn V, Apollo 11 and the Apollo / Saturn V facility vehicle on its way to Launch Complex 38.
The two postcards that show some wear are the postmarked Atlas (to the immediate left of the Ire Show) and the Jupiter C postcard (with Robert Goddard stamp affixed to the front). Robert Goddard was an American inventor credited with creating and building the world's first liquid-fueled rocket.
Any lines seen on the card face are from my scanner and are NOT on the actual card. Please ask any questions before bidding.
