The listing, Apple ibook 500mhz 10gb 192mb airport wifi has ended.

Up for auction is an Apple ibook. 500mhz processor, 10gb harddrive, 192mb ram, cd rom, a 2 hour battery and airport wifi card. This laptop runs pretty fast! I don't know much about apple computers since I'm a pc user but I do know that macs run faster than PC. So, a 500mhz, would be equivalent to about a 1ghz PC. Apple users, please correct me if I'm wrong. The harddrive has been wiped clean and has a fresh operating software installation. The hinge is good and the clasp that hold the screen in place works as it should. The unit works great except it is in poor physical condition. The screen has 2 large gouges as you can see in the pictures. It is cosmetic and doesnt affect performance but the scratches are there and are very noticeable. The scratch did not penetrate the plastic. The lcd underneath is unharmed. This is a great laptop if you want to take the first step at using an apple computer or if you need something wireless around the house to surf the internet. This is a FREE laptop that I will ship for FREE!!

I think Aunteah was looking for a service that replaces the screen while you were looking for the screen replacement part itself in which case the $20 compared to $200 is actually about accurate. The only way repair people every can make money is by jacking it up like that so they do that...

wowwww thats a slowww cmptr. lol. compared to my 4gb ram, 250 gb hdd, 2ghz dual core prossesor macbook. but still nice computer if upgraded to fit the 4g speed of modern day.

FYI...searched for replacement screen and lowest price I could find online was $199.99. Don't know if that's helpful to anyone or not but thought I'd pass it along. Still a very nice computer all around!

Lowest price I found for a replacement screen is $19.00 shipped on Ebay. Item number 140478887698 or do an Ebay search for "ibook G3 screen"
