This symbol for example, some note that the top triangle strives upward, toward G-d, while the lower triangle strives downward, toward the real world. Some note that the intertwining makes the triangles inseparable, like the Jewish people. Some say that the three sides represent the three types of Jews: Kohanim, Levites and Israel. A beautiful symbol representing a Holy People.
Although there is no 925 or sterling imprinted on this pendant, I would say that this is most likely sterling silver however I am far from being a jeweler or expert. When I attempted to clean the star with a silver polishing cloth, it came up dark black. If it was not silver it would come up green. Let's agree that this Star of David is simply beautiful.
