The red sunflower exists for ornamental uses since there are many other types of sunflower that produces larger and greater quantites of sunflower seeds. It can grow to about 10 feet tall (depending on the variety) and is an impressive sight and a great conversation piece. The red sunflower also has the ability to grow multiple heads, giving it more flowers than the ordinary sunflower, hence improving the overall appearance of a planting in the garden.

this is great.. at school we had these and there was a wasp on one of them. I love flowers so I went to check up the plants up close and I saw the wasp and then it suddenly flew straight at me so I ran off with the wasp chasing me and then flying off.. pretty scary!! :(

but a dumb wasp wont stop me from wanting these sunflowers.. lol :P

Thanks, I forgot I had them. I found them last night while I was looking thru my seeds. My 7 yr. old son helped me grow these last year and he was so proud of them. :)
