This succulent grows actively from spring through late summer and is dormant in the winter. Blooming occurs in the summer outdoors or in a greenhouse; the plants rarely bloom indoors. Plants started from seed usually bloom in 2 to 3 years, plants started from cuttings may bloom the first year. The flowers are a dark purple 5 pointed star shape with yellow bands around the center. I picked this plant up at a local greenhouse in the early spring. It had bloomed then and the seed pods sprouted quickly. I have started quite a few of the seeds and the seedlings sprout in only 4-7 days. Care for them as you would any cacti or succulent. You will receive 20 seeds.
