FREE: Vintage Copper? Clip Earrings

I have had these forever, as part of my collection - passed down from my great-great grandmother, to great grandmother to grandmother. Not sure which one had them, but I am sparingly going through the collection, keeping the most memorable pieces.
I can only assume that the metal is copper, couldn't image what else it may be.
