As you can see from the pictures, this scrap has been cut unevenly. Here's it's stats:
24" long
9+" at each end
8+" at the most narrow section in the center
I washed it before cutting it

this fabric was used for a display at the animal shelter. It's been around dogs, cats, rabbits, gerbils, etc. At no time did any animal actually touch the fabric. I had cats; they have both passed away. I've done a thorough cleaning since then, but I can't guarantee that it doesn't have cat hair on it.

I got it at a discount shop, so it's most likely a blend.
