The listing, Samsung Galaxy Precedent S traight Talk Phone has ended.

This is a straight talk phone I got from ebay,,it is re-conditioned. You need to be able to get Sprint service and the area I live in does not get Sprint service.

I am a little confused... Straight Talk is a prepaid service and is not sprint... so this will not work on Straight Talk plans?? Thanx...

Straight-Talk said I needed a Sprint tower in my area, which I do not have.

listen, when I got this phone,I called Straight-Talk too turn it on , they told me it would not work because I don't hane Sprint service in my area. My phone that I have now is a Straight-Talk phone, it runs off AT&T service. Yes, this IS a Straight-Talk phone.If you have Sprint service all you need to do is go to Wal-Mart and get a $45 card and you have unlimited talk and text but you must be in Sprint area.

straight talk is owned by walmart so all of its tower or service providing is contracted with other companies..if you have a smart/android phone straight talk service is provided through sprints towers
if you have a regular non smart phone/basic function phones service is contracted with verizon towers
so what straight talk was telling him is he has an android phone so since sprint doesn't service his area he can't use the straight talk either because the service comes from sprint..hope that helps :)
