How big is the alligator clip? Would it fit a toddler with fine hair or would you say it is for older girls?

I have a toddler and use them in her hair but I have some parents tell me they slip out of fine thin hair and have to use bobby pins to hold them in.

With an alligator clip it can be attached to a headband...,just an idea :)
