I use outdoor vinyl made for a 4 to 6 year lifespan.

ok i will do that and thank you. one other thing my rear window has the defrost lines on it is it still ok to put a decal over them? and how is the visibility from the driver seat through the decal?

usually the lines are on the inside so you are OK to put on the outside and you will b able to see through the back window most people put it on the side . Look at the traffic and see where people put them.
