This very opulant style brooch was first made famous during the victorian age. Along came true artisans in the 1920's to 40's and created revival pieces that wonderfully rivaled thier earlier counterparts! In fact the most reknowned Silversmiths in the WORLD come from Scandanavia and a small town in Mexico called "Taxco" The purpose ,since about 1918 of the whole town of Taxco is to create items of amazing beauty out of Sterling Silver,nothing else! Here is a premier piece of that age,long stored away for the pleasure of the next owner to come!
This item measures a nice (approx measurment) 2 inches wide and three inches high. This Brooch is meant to be worn with the length up and down,like an egg on its end,as in the very 1st photo.
The Sterling Brooch has both the manufacturers hallmark as well as the word "Sterling" and "Mexico" circling that hallmark.
A 78 year old charm representing grace and style and hand hammered out of precious metal for your bidding, who has it better than Listians?

have you had it tested , I have bought several "marked" sterling pieces from mexico and they ended up being plated

Ive been in the buisness for 35 years,i dont need to test a piece I am sure of,if it turns out im wrong id be glad to refund the postage as well as the credits. On top of that this particular item has been in my collection for over 20 years,only a very non professional would take a collectible item,with a known artist, and pour acid on the item.Unless of course there was a suspicion of wrongdoin,that isnt the case here nor in any of my auctions. I sggesst you stick with costume jewelry if you are dealing with "The wrong people"

The artist intials are imprinted within the companys hallmark,since the 1920's there have been thousands of Mexican and scandanavian artists working in Taxco,a very many were appreticed under gorge Jenson, the most famous of the lot known to have been working in taxco during those years.
