The listing, Missing Hare. Genuine Canada Cut Coin 5 Cent 1967 Nickel For Craft Use has ended.
Cut coin for craft use.
Missing hare (I.e. rabbit) refers to the center part of this coin being cut out -- it is gone. A play on words! In 1967 Canada made this centennial coin and was once legal tender.
This genuine Canadian nickel from 1967 has been hand cut out by a master coin cutter, and the hare/rabbit has been removed for use on jewelry. What you see is the remaining part of the coin.
This coin is good for craft use, or just fun to own.
The center gone now, leaves the remainder as scrap, usually melted and never used. You can see the center in the close up photo. The edge of the coin has been cut through; you can see the thinness of the blade used.
This is the first time offered to highest bidder. Free USA shipping.
Cutting coins is legal, as you would never spend a coin that has been cut out for jewelry. You can't spend it now, as that would be fraudulent.
