The listing, Confederate Gen. James Longstreet Engraved Picture has ended.
Confederate Gen. James Longstreet was Robert E. Lee's right hand man and one of the most capable CSA generals. The picture from a steel plate engraving was done sometime between 1865 and 1890 and a limited edition picture for either use in special edition book or for individual sale. The picture is about 8 x 4 3/4 inches. The writing under the picture is "A Neil NY, LT GEN. LONGSTREET, From a Photograph taken from life, C.B. Richardson, Publisher" The engraved picture is on quality older paper and does not show any age spots only minor light discoloration ends of the paper. This is NOT a modern reproduction. The picture is on old quality paper from the late 19th century. If framed, it is best to be sure to use acid free mounting materials to insure it maintaining it's historical quality. I inherited this and other Civil War era engravings from an aunt who passed away in the 1960's
