Sher1196 Fanned.....as for the shipping (Cordialtrader) I am charging less than it costs to ship a medium flat rate box. i wish I could afford to never charge shipping, but with 6 people in our household that just isn't possible.

I remember the salt and pepper shakers. There was an Native American Christian school in the Southwest that would send them out and then ask for a donation to the school. That was back in the '60's.

Labre is still in business they advertise all over, people send $ to help Native American kids(I really don't know if this place is Kosher, it could be,but the vast majority of so called "Residential Indian Schools " were brutal! At Carlisle something like 10,000 kids died there since they opened! A lot of investigations and lawsuits are going on today. It is worth researching and program you donate to,Some are ok. some are not. Far as I know Labre is OK.They give away CD's of the kids playing drums, and blankets, for donations, check them out! They are still operational!. Carlisle is only open for tours. I'd like to bid, but waiting for more credits to come in, hopefully in time.

I was told that it was a jewelry item that ladies wore to hold scarves in place around their neck. Now whether that is true or not, I am not sure.--Becca
