I no longer have the manual for the unit and there is a fee to update the maps through Garmin.

The battery life depends on how you use the unit. It will easily last an hour on full use. I'm sorry but I'm already giving this away for free and shipping for free. I will not update.

update is easy at garmin.com the winner should have no problem....i have 3 of these and they update everytime I plug them in to pc...my newest updates everytime i turn it on.
