Gorgeous, artificial diamond barrette. Measures 3" long x 14/16" wide (overall), with a clasp on its underside to secure the barrette in place. The clasp is approximately the same length as the barrette. The clasp opens when the two metal pieces located on one of the ends are pressed together (See photos #2).

Stunningly gorgeous! and of good, solid quality. The large gems have a brilliant shine, as if they were the real thing.

This barrette was given to me many years ago (1997) as a Christmas gift, but I rarely ever found occasion to wear it, and it's been sitting idle in my jewelry box ever since. It needs a new "home" with someone who will appreciate it and put it to good use. I think the barrette had been purchased for me at "Nieman Marcus", but must have been a "mark-down" or "clearance" item due to an imperfection located under one of the five rectangular shaped gems found in its center. The impurity is noticeable upon close-up inspection, otherwise, would not be detectable/noticeable when wearing it ... my opinion! But you please take a look and decide for yourself. It's the first rectangular gem shown at the bottom of the photo. (Photo #1).
