Dell laptop windows xp installed comes with charger. it is my sons it worked just fine last week, then 3 days ago nothing, it comes on then shuts off. im not sure but maybe he got it wet.

Please remove the battery and then plug it in. It might work without the bad battery. Let us know if the laptop, minus the battery, works with the charger only. Thanks.

if it got wet while on the motherboard would have probally got fried. it wouldnt have even bothered turning on.
