here we have the beautiful "black magic" hollyhock, alcea rosea nigra. i am very excited about this auction! planted these seeds for the first time last year & they are really starting to pop!

this is a wonderful multi-purpose flowering plant. the roots, leaves, & flowers are edible. soothing tonic or tea can be made from the blossoms. these look gorgeous outside and are very pretty in flower arrangements. you can also plant them in or around flower beds as a natural way to deter deer- they don't like the leaves very much. if you have a cottage style garden as i do, these are very impressive. they can reach 6 feet tall, adding height & interesting foliage.

the lucky auction winner will receive 5 homegrown black hollyhock seeds (limited supply) and 10 organic mixed poppy seeds. if bids surpass 4000 i will double the number of hollyhocks to ten- 5 black & 5 mixed pinks. add a little goth to your garden!
