The listing, Uniden 2-Way Radios / Walkie Talkies has ended.

Not much to say about these-
They have all the bells & whistles I ever heard of or needed in an affordable 2-way.
They can scramble your channel for private communication.
I'm pretty sure the range is at least 2-4 miles or I would never have bought them in the first place.
They automatically receive up-to-the minute Weather news and alerts in hazardous weather from NOAA Weather Radio, the country's #1 meteorological authority. That's really nice down here in hurricane alley.
They run on 4 aaa batteries and work every bit as good as new.
In fact, other than initial testing, I never used them once.

Yes they do. The clips are snapped on over the battery doors. You can snap them off if you'd rather slip them in your pocket. They are just tricky enough to keep from coming unsnapped while in use without being too hard to remove when you want to. Fairly clever, really.

I think you can buy one separately, but I just use rechargeable AAAs in them.
