Ashton Drake Blue M&M Baby just Reborned!!!

This baby was an M&M Blue Ashton Drake Collectors Baby. They brought these babies out in 2008 and sold for $32.99 plus shipping (that's the info. I found online).

He is 6 inches long and weighs 4 oz.

I took his body apart and weighted him with polly fill and fine glass beads. His body is a white cloth. I stripped his paint that was done poorly and repainted him using several layers of reborn paints. He has blond hair and blue eyes (not done by me). He is posable and has wires inside his body so you can change him around. I painted his nail but I didn't tip them. I gave his eye edges, lips, nostriles and nails a gloss look. I washed his 1 pc. outfit so he is nice and clean. At the very tops of his legs, arms and bottom of his neck there is blue staining on his gel like limbs and head (This was from the company that made him you can't see it because his clothes cover it). The reborn paints really brought him to life! He was more of a yellow and he had very little paint and color. He is very soft and his skin feels so real and gel like...not hard at all. My camera isn't very good so he looks much better in person.

I don't think a reborn would be under 30.00, it wouldn't even cover the cost of supplies. The cheapest way to go is to get a starter reborn....a childs play doll and have it reborned. On Ebay I sell starter reborns, bald not rooted for $40.00 +shipping about 10-15.00 extra shipping. I don't have any listed now on there but I have another on Listia. You could always buy reborn air paints and try making them yourself. Youtube has great videos on it. The air dry paints and matt varnish still cost about $30.00 but you can do a few dolls. I will be posting another starter reborn soon. It's made by citi toys. I can't root it becasue the material is to thick. I might just paint the hair or leave it bald and have a head band? Haven't decided yet? It still needs work. I should have it done in a day or 2. Keep watching:) Thank you for your interest:)
