Great for listening in and conversing with truckers.
A lot better than cell phones or GPS in traffic jams-just listen to or ask a nearby trucker. You don't even have to leave your vehicle. It's so indispensable and could very well be a determining factor in emergencies.
I had my regular cb in my truck so I used this less than 10 times while trucking.
Although this is a superb unit, don't expect it to perform like it's big brothers that are favorites with the big rigs and dominate the highways with powerful tuned dual antennas, super amplifiers, and stereo speakers. It's not going to happen.
It's just a dependable emergency unit that performs well in those situations, and also for scanning the truckers conversations.
