Just an fyi: The plating does eventually wear off of gold plated jewelry & the exposed metal beneath the plating can look tarnished & cause "green around the finger". Plated jewelry is best for occassional wear, not to be worn all the time.
Gold filled jewelry isn't plated with gold. The gold is blended with other metals & wears better than filled jewelry, usually not causing "green around the finger" . It can be worn all the time but should be taken off during hand washing, bathing, showering or swimming & while applying hand lotion.
This ring is beautiful & deserves to be shown off on special occassions then kept like new in a jewelry box to preserve it's beauty ;)
