PDF is basiclly a file that opens with adobe and most is not all computers need this program to run severl types of files. if your sdoes not have it it is free to get. and the finished size depends on the aida count being used. to find out you take the stitches and divide it by the 18, 16, 14, 12 etc.
so if done in 18 ct aida it would be about 10 x 9.44 inches
