this is a nice auction and 8 dollars is not bad for shipping for I know it cost to ship and is higher than some think . to wrap well and ship is very important how it is to wrap. paypal charges sometimes for the service and confirmation number and so forth. Do you take paypal as payment on shipping? The camera does work good ? good enough for a gift ? thanks let me know.

$8 is high but not crazy, particularly if he's doing tracking and insurance as you should just about always do with electronics since they can easily be damaged in the mail. [If it arrives damaged and he doesn't insure it then it's easy to apply to get your credits refunded.] Plus assuming he's accepting paypal you have to remember the transaction fees. When you send him 8 he loses almost a buck of that before he has the money. Take a buck off for a box and packaging materials, another buck fifty off for tracking and insurance and you're down to about $4.50. That's within a dollar of what first class mail would probably be on it. So it's not crazy at all... there are a number of spots where money comes off that before it gets to the value of the sticker on the box that arrives in the mail.

Still that's making assumptions too... just erring on the side of sanity.
