The listing, BEAUTIFUL!!! Hand wired Large Scorpion Amber Pendant has ended.

This is a large and very neat Amber Scorpion & silver hand wired pendant. The pendant is a large & robust 2.5" long by 1.75" wide by about .5" thick!!! There is a ton of custom work on this beautiful art piece butterflies, scroll work. The wire is silver in color I do not know metal content as it is hand made. There are a total of 6 butterflied in wire on the piece. One on each side, two on the top (1 each side), and two on the bottom (1 each side). It is a sturdy piece and will look stunning on either a plain silver chain or a custom beaded necklace! I have taken lots and lots of pictures for you! When I purchased it my understanding is that it is a real amber. Looking at it I don't see any marking to indicate otherwise. Thank you :0) It is really neat! Unfortunately the camera can only show so much but it is stunning and rich color!

Yes the scorpion is real :0) It is remarkable looking, unfortunately even with all the different lighting to take the pictures there are many details that just don't show well in pictures. Whoever wins this will be well pleased :0) All the best!

You can tell its real amber a few ways. The easiest way is the salt water test. You can use regular table salt and water 1 part salt 2 parts water and stir until dissolved. Then put the stone in the cup if water if it floats its real amber if its fake (copal of plastic) it will sink. Also if you take a flame to it will not melt and have a piney smell fake amber will melt and smell chemical but you don't want to risk damaging it if its not real lol so I'd go with the saltwater it's a easy neat little trick. It's absolutely beautiful and great craftsmanship f&w will be bidding :)

Thanks for the information! It turned and rolled bulbous side up (front up) bobbed before dropping down. Could this be because there is so much metal? I know the metal definitely won't float. So either it is real and the metal is dragging it down why it keeps bobbing at the bottom all side not flat down, or it is not real. Additionally were it not for the metal this wouldn't weigh anything. It is surprisingly light even with all the metal. I am afraid to take the metal work apart to test it. So let's run on the premise it is not real yet very beautiful & looks real and should you win it and find it to be real then that is the mother of all bonus deals :0)

I am not sure where it is from. I got it years ago on ebay :0) I wish I knew more about it other than the fact it is a really neat item and will make a very unique necklace.
