can you grow these inside or do they have to be planted outside?

if you live in a warmer climate I would suggest outside, because that is thier natural habitat, and they will thrive best in full sun, and heat. In cooler climates, you can grow indoors, in an area where they will recieve good sunlight, but as they grow, you will want to take cuttings, and place in additonal pots, so they dont get too top heavy. Also, because they are so thorny, somewhere away from children, pets, or people who may pass by and get pricked. lol You could always place outside for summer months if your area is a cooler climate too.
