I have several mom's ask if I had something like this!!!

Dear Child,
I have been notified by Marcus Magnificent, Head Elf, Keeper of Names, that you have been added to the Naughty List. I am sad to see that and thought I better write and let you know about it.

The children are on the naughty list for many reasons, but Marcus has noted the following reasons for you: give me a few reasons like, school issues, messy rooms, not listening, not being nice to brothers/sisters…

You still have a chance to get on the Nice List.

(do better in school, clean your rooms, do your chores, treat everyone with respect.

There isn’t a lot of time to change your ways, but if you can do better by December 23rd, Marcus will put you on the Nice List. If your name is still on the naughty list then, there will be no gifts from Santa.
Christmas will be here before you know it! Try your hardest for me!

I took it off of each one that had no bids. I didn't realize that and thank you for letting me know. As for the letter, I had about 13 mothers contact me to ask for a letter like this as they were beyond knowing how to help their children stop some of their bad actions. I have had personal feedback from every naughty warning letter telling me how the children are trying real hard to overcome these actions. Every child then receives a certificate of the Nice List. Cruel, ask some of the letter winners for some personal feedback!

Hi there Luvubear, I just want to say I am one of those mothers who was having issues with my child. Now I know it's alot to do with her age, that being said I bid and won this very letter. When my daughter got it in the mail she was so excited, A letter from Santa!!! Upon reading the letter she was a little upset, not about the letter but that Santa knew how she had been behaving!!! I tell you what since receiving the letter she has made every effort to change her ways and secure a place on the "Nice List"!!! The very first day I came home from work and she had spent all day cleaning and organizing her room!!! ( I do mean all day, it was that messy!) She has been very helpful, respectful and diligent at home not to mention she has done better in school as well! I could not ask for a better response!!! CRUEL? I think not!!! Just a new way to help your child see the light with a little help from O'l St Nick!!! Parents have been using the naughty list as a threat forever this just brings it home with substance. I love it and couldn't be happier!!! Thanks you St Nick!!!

I worked many years as a children's counselor and this really is a very gentle non-threatening way to reinforce positive behavior.
For many children this would be a wonderful way to address negative behavior. I love that it has a clear guidelines about which behaviors to be changed and in what time-frame.....and the information is coming from Santa who children view as kind and generous. Keep up the good work St. Nick!

I also recieved this letter for my daughter. It has been on her mind ever sense. I think it was a real eye opener for her to realize that her misbehaving would have an effect on if Santa will be coming. I do not believe it is cruel. The items that I had listed, that she was not behaving with, were reinforced to her. I really like that it was stated that mom tells her to do these things because mom is trying to teach her well. For my child it may not have been harsh enough. Hopefully it will be though.

I think she is wrong and you are not selling them but asking for shipping. It cost almost 50 cents just to mail plus listia lets you charge for materials used for shipping like envelopes and gas mileage.
