The listing, Tree of Life Pendant has ended.
Beautiful silver colored pendant; I'm pretty sure it's not real silver but the color does NOT fade after you've worn it a lot. Double-sided.
The Tree of Life represents life in all its mysteries-- the strong, sturdy trunk is the base (the inner self) to which we must always return; the many branches stretching this way and that show that we are all connected; the roots, though unseen, remind us to remember our own roots. We remember our ancestors, where we came from, who we are, yet we always have the freedom and choice to grow in a new direction. The circle around the tree provides protection in all that we do.
The Tree of Life is seen and used in many ancient mythologies. The Norse knew it as Yggdrasil, the mighty tree that stretched from Midgard (middle earth) up to Asgard where the gods resided, all the way down to Niflheim (the underworld). The Druids believe trees are the physical representation of life. The Celts even related trees to the cycles of the moon and seasons.
