It's thru AT&T so it takes a SIM. As for the ESN# what do you mean by clean. The phone was a spare phone we used for our home and we upgraded to an iPhone and had AT&T transfer the number. I'm the only owner of this phone so I am guessing that means that it is a clean ESN#. If not let me knwohow I can have it checked.

My mistake I forgot which listing I was looking at. It is thru Sprint not AT&T so it is CDMA All the rest of my comment is the same tho. Sorry for the confusion.
