Description

The listing, Garden Huckleberries has ended.

Garden Huckleberries. They are annuals, but produce a full crop in 3 months. Start them indoors the same time as tomatoes and peppers. They look like blueberries, but can not be eaten raw, they must be cooked into pies and other desserts. The best thing is that birds do NOT eat them, I never have to cover my crop.

20-40 seeds, usually about 85% germination. Start them indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost and 90 days later you will have enough berries on each plant to make 1-2 pies. Then just save a few of the berries and squish them to get the seeds out, dry and save for the next season.

Huckleberries can also be made into a delicious syrup to be used on ice cream, pancakes and waffles.

20-49 seeds is more than you'll ever need since simply saving 1 of the hundred or so berries will provide plenty of seeds for the next year.
