Verify cable continuity, open, short and miss-wire easily
Can test the correct pin configuration of 10Base-T, 10Base-2 Ethernet, RJ-11/RJ-12/RJ-45 modular cables, 258A, TIA-568A/568B, and Token Ring cables
Test the cable 1,000 feet away that are on wall plate or patch cable with remote kit (remote kit included)

well if it doesn't work, you still have to cut and re-crimp lol. i used to work for a company doing home theaters, home networks, phone systems, and the such. i got tired of driving 2 hours each way to work and somebody else getting a bulk of the money. so now, i'm starting my own computer repair business. get to spend a lot of time with my daughter now. :-) i stopped putting gin because nobody really ever used them. it will be well worth the wait. like i said, this is one of my favorite tools. saves lots of time. i think i have an extra wire toner too if you would be interested. it is well used but works perfectly. great for identifying wires and testing for continuity.

Wish you had a Low Gin So I could win. I kind of have been in need of one of these. Been working for years with Networking, wireless, computers - hardware/software and more so yea this tool would come in handy instead of cutting and re-crimping if it doesn't work LOL

Yea I know. at least you can test to make sure it works with this instead of testing it with a live modem/router and computer. Wow great job. Hope it works out for ya. If you need help on tools etc let me know :-) I may be a long ways away but I am willing to help. If you would have put a GIN on this I totally would have bid the MAX of my CR.

Darn it and as a Techy this could have been useful. Oh well guess it's Cut, Crimp and test (Recrimp/Recut if it don't work the first time)
