Is there any way you could measure them length and width in millimeters please?

They measure about 7 X 5 mm each.

These are gorgeous!!! And I love the story about making them into something for you and your sister. My son is getting married next year and I think I might bid on them and have them made into a set of
earrings (or maybe mother daughter pendants so we can I can have one too!) for my new daughter in law!!!
