14 is the starting gauge right? I love these! I just hate the tedious process of starting all over again. Do u have any ideas ? Like I said, really diggin the Owls.

I think the starting is 16 I might be mistaken but the safest way is to gauge up slowly overtime so you do not blow out your ears

16 G is the starting G. You're supposed to stretch with tapers if you're not stretching professionally. You get can a stretching set on amazon under $20. Some come with lobe lube to make the stretching easier and less painful.
