I was also interested in this phone but it's not GSM. You say the "SD" card needs to change or "jailbreak" and that's just not true. Sugmoff was actually correct, The picture you posted where it says it is retailed for $220 USED is NOT in USA currency. Its the currency of Malaysia. Which every RM "dollar" (100 cents) is 30 cents in US currency. So this phone IS in fact around $115 NEW. Granted, yes, its in excellent condition, but it is not worth $220 in the united states. BRAVO a 100% seller unlike the con artist mobsters i got scammed by latley ain't posting user names here publicly but whooooo boy wait till you read all the excuses i got from last one who didnt respond until i filed dispute! Of Course it was perfect touch screen phone for me from tracfone whom has partners net10 my carrier and straight talk. Said she sent on the 27th but never told me that so i removed refund request on condition i get phone tomorrow ! Wanna bet i don't !

Then she gets door knocked on for wire fraud accepting cash for goods and not delivering !

I won't do that cause she is single mom but just will warn everyone in here about her.

It can be unlocked to use it on Verizon. Some other carriers like Sprint Nextel, Alltel, US Cellular and many others like Cox may or may not activate it. It's entirely up to them. Many people prefer GSM because you can just buy a SIM card instead of relying on the carrier to activate or deny you. I have a CDMA HTC phone right now that works great on Verizon's monthly plan. Verizon will activate any CDMA unlocked phone. I hope this helps you.

I also looked on your specifications at the top of this page and it says CDMA under "network". I'm pretty sure it's a CDMA. (no SIM card)

Remove the battery and if you see a SIM card then it's a GSM. Look carefully because the SIM card is very small.

I did read all comments. I'm very sorry if I offended anyone. I was trying to help you and the bidders to understand that its not the carrier as much as the type of network. The article I shared explains that there only 2 kinds of neworks: CDMA and GSM. The GSM phones use SIM cards. SD cards have nothing to do with the network. I hope this helps clarify. I'm only trying to help here.
