Being new you are probably unable to offer a Get It Now (GIN) which obviously would end the auction instantly when used. Since you cannot offer a GIN some bidders may ask to lower the days so they can hurry up and get the item. Unfortunately in doing so you can potentially cheat yourself a considerate amount of credits. More time = more credits (usually). Hope this helps. :)
