How do you use it, I bought one but ended up cutting off the two big big rings at the end. I really have no clue but I need one desperately :)

Chrissy, you feed the chain through one of the rings to create a loop, then slip it over the dog's head, then attach leash to dangling end. When measuring, you only calculate for the length of the chain--not the rings.
