As many of you know the playstation 3 gets the yellow light of death ( as well as a redlight and no im not talking xbox red ring for ppl that never encountered)

in this tutorial you will see how to disassemble as well as repair as well as make a profit ! i personally charge 40$ per fix (for me to do it) no im not offering for u to send me your ps3 and then fix it for you lmfao which i will now teach everyone on listia in a very simple tutorial with nice detail.

as requested a few members asked me if i knew how to fix and i explained yet and helped them out so decided to post the tutorial on how to fix !

if water damaged would be probably a blown capacitor or will need to replace the mobo most odds depends on the extent of the water damage to , somthing like that would be best to take some pictures of the motherboard and send them to me so can havea closer look :P

i got a question. my bf got rather irrate and threw his ps3 on the floor flat on the floor and really not any force, it seems that above the fan that computer chip(circle) is busted in half, how would we go about this or should we just buy a new one

refering to the housing of the fan unit? can u send me a pic to see what exactly you are refering to ? if the fan housing which is plastic you can just glu lol or replace whole fan unit for like 18-25$ normally. again send a pic to make sure :)

yeah it was full of water I poured alot out of it but it wasnt on then my nephew turned it on before it was completly dry but I will take some pic and send them I appreciate the info.. :-)

ohhhh dang :( , i may have a extra motherboard depending on your model i can look through out my scrap pikle honestly tho you can buy yellow light consoles for around 30-50$ would probably be better to buy up one of them then make the gpu and cpu repair your self ( actually very simple with guid or even a text only based tutorial if you are tech savy and familer with the break down) if u send picks tho very high chance , that jus a blown cap can pick them up for like 2-6$ online depending on which cap u need.
