what does secret card mean? I started collecting these cards about 13 years ago and I have (still) maybe 3 of these from the original booster pack they first released this card.

Well this particular card is from the platinum set not the original base set. It's a different look compared to the original Hitmonchan. In each set, the newer ones, there is a certain amount of cards in that set. in platinum it's 127. However secret rares are numbers more than the sets number. Hitmonchan is 129/127. The 127 is the number of cards in the set and Hitmonchan is 129 in it. How hope I wasn't too confusing. Secret rares basically are very rare to pull. :)

holo Pokemon from the original base set are pretty sought after. Especially if they are shadowless. I hope you post some. ^^

I have quite an extensive collection still I'm pretty sure. I want to get some things from listia and I see these cards are conjuring a fair amount of credits. I've held onto them for so long, but quit collecting about 10 years ago. only about 3 years of collecting, I might have to put some nice ones on here at a later date.

Awesome! :) One thing though, because you are new start with the more common and uncommon cards. That way you get feedback and a good reputation. So when you list better cards you will get more credits then if you were to list them now. And when you do list them put a picture of the card next to a paper with your username on here to show its real, because we do get scammers on here. :(

Well for on thing the background is lighter and on the right of the frame of the picture there is no shadow. and if they are shadowless AND 1st edition, take care of that card! Those are even rarer. :)
