If I buy stamps on Listia, they would cost 450-500 credits for one Forever stamp. Some of my standard 10 card lots require that plus an additional 20 cent stamp.
In the end, all I'm really selling here is the postage. I'm saying, "If you want these cards, offer me some credits for the postage." Unless a bidding war ensues, which I see rarely on this type of lot, the cards are free at this price.
I have a rule of thumb which is pretty simple: if I don't want to offer as many credits as the user wants for a starting bid, I move on and look elsewhere.
