Questions & Comments
These are easy they are basically a small octagon folded a certain way with a pipe cleaner for the body and antenna's. I know you could do them I see the doll you have done.
So, looking at them, are they like a small granny octagon folded in half, then the body and antenna are added? I like them - gonna have to try for them:) hope your day is a wonderful one! Stacey >¡<
Sorry so slow - trying to find my way round this place :) I fanned you yesterday but must have either not hit reply or was in the wrong place. So...Ima fanning u right back! Have a great day, my friend. >¡<
Fanned right back at ya :). Yes I did make the dress myself and handbeaded it afterward. Would you mind, when u have time, read my description of the dress and let me know if there's anything u think would benefit being added or left out? It'd sure help and I'd really appreciate the input. Thank u for the interest and may your day be blessing filled >¡<
Thank you so much for your kind compliment :) It makes me happy to know people like my hobby. You build my confidence enough to maybe show another one. You don't have to give it to someone, keep it yourself. You never know they may become collector items one day, lol! Or you may find someone later to gift it to as a surprise. Many blessings sent your way and enjoy your weekend, donnarobin >¡<
you do beautiful work and to do all that beading the patience it takes. I know I use to do the Indian Wedding Dolls i though that beading was bad.I am a fan
Thank u so much for your compliment :) It helps build my confidence to maybe show another one. Yes the beading is the hardest especially when u do it all by hand because u don't know how to crochet them in, LOL! Those Indian Wedding dolls are difficult but, why did u stop, if I may ask? Gonna fan u, ok :)
there were a few reasons one my family wore me out .I made so many for aunts, nieces, cousins and my eyes started to hit that over fourty betrayal thing i now have both near and far sight when for years I was 20/20 with perfect vision no glasses :( since then I've changed glasses three times and I'm due for another ten+years later
I can quite understand about "burn out" on something you truly enjoy and the eyesight problems coming on from such close work. When I stopped tring to follow directions and began creating my own designs,I must have made at least 20 of them-no joke-and about half way,I thought how pretty and unique if I beaded and crystaled them. Ha! Yep they're unique now and I wear trifocals now! So I do easier things too like evening wraps and prayer shawls and the like; lots easier on the eyes-much BIGGER stitches! Have a beautiful day,my friend and many blessings are sent your way! Stacey >¡<
Your butterflies are very pretty :). You know, I've tried several times to crochet butterflies, but they always turn out looking like they're trying to morph into "Mothra", lol! So, I put them away(hide them is more like it) until the next time I decide to give them a go :)
You have done truly Artisan work on this and I so appreciate having the chance to replace the only Barbie I have ever owned that was torn apart by my youngest. So please Lord, Let me win this auction.....
Will you be listing another beautiful outfit like this.....i would love to get the chance of winning 2 for my grand daughters for christmas......f&w you do beautiful work... :)
Yes, I did make this dress and hand beaded it when I finished crocheting it. If I knew how to "bead-crochet", it'd sure go a lot faster, tho, LoL! I have several others, as well, that are "Antebellum" in style. Thank u for your interest & compliment. Blessings on your day :)
Do you really think so? Because I had a deep rich burgundy Antebellum, one w/ oversized hoops, that would've been a good one too and w/the color, a nice ambiance to the room :) They make all kinds of doll "covers", why not one for a lamp, right? Good idea!
