BROKEN - I found this and it seems the top/lid part is broken and seems to have been bent back/open too far and maybe snapped the wires connecting the two halves??? Just my uneducated guess :-)

No, it does not turn on. Yes, it definitely will need fixing. It does not have the power/charging wire either. I used my wire from my DS to see if it will keep a charge or such and nothing happen, no lights came on at all.
